Kreatos SCG 47
The premium conductive grease in the range. A silver-filled paste in a polysiloxane fluid with very low electrical resistance, for grounding, bonding, shielding and low-speed sliding contacts where a clean, continuous conductive path matters. Contains no carbon or graphite.
What it is
SCG 47 is the top of the Kreatos conductive range. A high loading of silver-type metallic flake gives it very low contact resistance (below 0.01 ohm/cm³) and both electrical and thermal conductivity, while the polysiloxane base keeps it chemically inert and stable. It suits grounding and bonding points, EMI/RFI shielding interfaces, conductive terminals and low-speed sliding contacts, and it assists EMI control. With no carbon or graphite, it is the cleaner choice where a silver conductive path is specified. Where CCG 4 is the workhorse conductive grease, SCG 47 is the premium, low-resistance option.
Best for
- Grounding points and electrical bonding surfaces
- Shielding joints and EMI/RFI contact interfaces
- Conductive terminals requiring low contact resistance
- Low-speed sliding electrical contacts
- Switchgear contact areas and contact breakers
- Ball and socket electrical connectors
- Conductive assembly interfaces
What it does well
- Very low electrical resistance (silver-filled)
- Provides electrical and thermal conductivity
- Assists EMI/RFI control
- Chemically inert, water-repellent, anti-corrosion
- No carbon or graphite
- Smooth, odourless paste for controlled application
Notes: SCG 47 is electrically conductive and may cause short circuits if misapplied. Apply only to de-energised equipment, in a thin layer, and never let it bridge adjacent contacts or opposite poles. Do not use where electrical insulation is needed, on fine-pitch PCB connectors, or as a general lubricant. Silver-grey material may stain some surfaces. Test compatibility with plastics, elastomers and plated contacts first.
