Reach for the Oil when
The part is something you top up often and want to reach precisely. Rods, light rails, lead screws specified for oil, small joints, light gears. The needle tip places a single drop exactly where it is needed.
Reach for the Grease when
The part is something you would rather lubricate once and leave. Bearings, loaded lead screws, gears, loaded joints. The grease lays down a load-bearing film that stays put through long service intervals.
