Kreatos Silicone Grease
A general-purpose silicone grease for makers. Dielectric, waterproof, plastic-safe, and useful in places where most other greases would cause problems. The grease most makers end up using more often than they expect to.
What it is
Silicone grease is one of the most versatile lubricants in a workshop. It is non-conductive, water-repellent, plastic-safe, and stable across a wide temperature range. That combination makes it useful for things specialty greases cannot touch: sealing rubber gaskets, protecting electrical connectors, lubricating plastic gears that would dissolve in mineral oil, waterproofing small assemblies. This is not a specialist product. It is the grease you reach for when you need broad compatibility and predictable behaviour.
Best for
- Rubber and plastic interfaces
- Electrical connectors and switches (de-energised)
- O-rings and gaskets
- Waterproofing small assemblies
- Plastic gears (slow-speed)
- General precision maintenance
- Drone and RC mechanisms exposed to moisture
What it does well
- Dielectric (electrically insulating)
- Water-repellent
- Plastic-safe
- Broad temperature compatibility
- Stable, long-lasting film
- Compatible with most rubbers and elastomers
Notes: Silicone contamination interferes with adhesives, paint, and build plate adhesion. Do not use on surfaces that need to bond, grip, or accept paint.
