Kreatos Thermal Grease 1.8
A reliable silicone-based thermal grease for everyday maker cooling. Non-conductive, non-curing, and the easiest in the range to apply and clean up. The thermal compound for general 3D-printer and electronics jobs where easy handling and long-term stability matter more than peak conductivity.
What it is
Thermal Grease 1.8 is the entry tier in the Kreatos thermal range. Silicone-based with carbon microparticles for conductivity, formulated to stay workable for years without drying out. At 1.8 W/m·K, it is well-suited to general 3D-printer and maker electronics, single-board computers, thermistor and small-board seating, and any cooling job where easy application and reliability matter more than maximum heat transfer.
Best for
- 3D printer thermistor and heat-break seating
- General maker and hobby electronics cooling
- Single-board computer heatsinks (Raspberry Pi, etc.)
- Chipset and small-board cooling
- Everyday jobs where easy application matters
- Long-term applications where re-paste cycles matter
What it does well
- 1.8 W/m·K thermal conductivity
- Non-electrically conductive
- Non-curing (stays workable, does not dry out)
- Long-term stability
- Easy application and clean-up
- Reliable across wide temperature range
Notes: Apply a thin, even layer between the chip and heatsink. Excess thermal grease does not improve performance. For higher-performance applications, see Thermal Grease 5.0 or Thermal Grease 12.3.
